Valentine's Day!

So, even though I didn't have much to do this Valentine's Day, I still wanted to get dolled up. I'm in a long distance relationship, and unfortunately we had to spend another Valentine's Day apart, so to keep myself from feeling sad & lonely, I put on my lovely heart print dress from eShakti. I tried to resist the urge to buy it when I first saw it listed on their site, but when I saw that it was 20% off, I couldn't resist.

I've ordered several things from eShakti over the past several months, and the biggest issue I've had was how much the garments have wrinkled. This dress, however, doesn't wrinkle at all! It also fits wonderfully, and flows beautifully. I felt like twirling all day long.

I planned on pairing it with a red cardigan, but I wanted to switch things up a bit. I got this turquoise cardigan at Costco (yeah... seriously!) for $15. I thought they looked pretty cute together. I also threw on a red stretch belt (favorite accessory!) to tie the two together.

All in all, I am very happy with this dress. I think it's my new favorite dress and I'm planning on wearing it on my trip to Las Vegas next month.

Oh, and I can't forget about my Valentine's manicure! Not the best photos, but it was a really simple manicure that turned out really cute! Look at the little heart on my thumb nail! <3 (The ugly bruise is from having blood drawn last week... ouch!)

Oh, and even though I didn't get to spend this Valentine's Day with my honey bunch, I'm looking forward to future Valentine's Days with him. He was super sweet and got both me AND Betty a card! You gotta love a man who gets your dog a Valentine's card! <3

  1. I love that dress on you! It's darling! I have a sweater that's a bit oversized on me now that has tons of little hearts on it (it was a Torrid buy) that I love too much to get rid of. I am thinking maybe I can just replace it with this dress...
