Red & White - I made a circle skirt!

So, I'm really excited about this outfit because I made the skirt! I actually cut it out months and months ago, but never got around to sewing it until last week, lol. It was really simple. =)

I mixed patterns with this outfit. I planned on wearing it with a simple, white shirt.... but I don't have one! So, I mixed stripes with polka dots and actually loved the way it turned out!

I wore my white crochet (I think?) vest and a red belt. I also wore my Bulldog necklace since I was taking my Bulldogs to Petsmart!

I was very happy with this outfit! I'll definitely be making more of these skirts in tons of different patterns!

Outfit details:

Polka dot circle skirt - Made by me!
Striped shirt & white vest - Ross
Red belt - Torrid
Shoes - Marshall's
Necklace - Also made by me

Eshakti never disappoints!

Mom and I went out to lunch and did some shopping today, so I decided to wear my latest Eshakti dress. I got this dress from the overstock section, and after using some coupon codes, it came out to about $30! You couldn't even buy the fabric for that price. =)

The skirt is so full on this dress. I love it!

I wore my white peep-toe flats from Blowfish. They are my favorite shoe company.... I'd be embarrassed to mention how many pairs of Blowfish shoes I own! Haha.

I made this sweater clip a while back. I really love wearing sweater clips! Also, the cardigan is from Kohl's, and the red belt is from Torrid.

Here you can see my button ring (also made by me) and my nail art. =)

I tried curling my hair, but it fell flat within 10 minutes. Oh well. Life goes on...

Last, but not least, my favorite hair flower. Also, made by me. I'm pretty crafty, if you couldn't tell.

I felt really good in this outfit. If you're looking for a nice dress, seriously check out Eshakti. I have loved every dress I've ordered from them. New customers get $20 off their order, and they usually have a good sale going on.

Thanks for reading! <3

My review of the Pink Floral Betty Biker Vest from Domino Dollhouse

One day, as I was browsing through posts on Tumblr, I stumbled upon this vest from Domino Dollhouse. It was the floral pattern that grabbed me, but I also loved the unique shape of the vest. It was unlike any other item I have in my wardrobe, and I had to make it mine!

I'm usually a size 20 or 22 on top, so I went with the 22 to be safe. They shipped it out fast and it arrived at my door within 3 days. I was so excited, I put it on the second it arrived and took a webcam photo!

The color is so much more vibrant in person, and the material is very high quality! It's lined with white polyester and is super comfy, too. It also has a bit of stretch to it. I decided to pair it with my super comfy denim skirt (I'm not too fond of the washed out areas on the front, but it's so comfortable that I don't really care) and teal polka dot top since I loved how it looked with the teal dress in the product photo.

So basically, I love this vest! The fabric, the pattern, the fit.... it's pretty excellent! I'll definitely be placing more orders with Domino Dollhouse in the future! =)

I love how the vest and top matched my earrings perfectly (which I made myself!.... check out my Etsy shop here!) .... it's like they were meant for one another!

Some things I really want...

I online window shop daily, and I thought I'd share some things I'm currently drooling over.

Firstly, this dress from Torrid which is part of the Retro Chic collection. I love gingham and the shape of this dress is wonderful.

I'm currently eyeing several items from Eshakti (as usual). Oh, and exciting news for the larger plus-size ladies out there.... they now go up to a 36W! =)

Isn't this dress beautiful? I love the bird print on it!

Can you tell I like black and red? I love how simple, yet pretty this dress is.

I love the owl print on this black skirt

This dress from Bettie Page Clothing (Available at Modcloth.com)  is gorgeous! I love the mustard yellow buttons!

I really, really want these shoes from Modcloth! I already own enough black shoes, but what's one more pair? =P

Those are currently the top items on my "want list." I currently have a black circle skirt from http://bettylebonbon.bigcartel.com/ on the way, which I am very excited about! I'm also working on my own red & white polka dot circle skirt! It's my first circle skirt, and I'm hoping it's a success so that I can make tons of circle skirts in lots of cool fabrics! <3 I have this great kitty cat fabric that would make an amazing skirt!

I'll try and post another outfit soon. Been feeling a little blue these past few days, so no cute outfits.

Went to the county fair =)

My Mom and I decided to check out the A.V. Fair last night. This is what I decided to wear (except, I switched belts right before leaving):

A friend of mine was performing with her dance group, so we decided to check that out. We also watched the turkey races, checked out the vendors, checked out the petting zoo, and ate some delicious fair food! Here are a few photos from the night!

I really like this photo. =)

Having fun! Haha.

My favorite Torrid dress!

I bought this lovely dress from Torrid last year for $40 to wear for Halloween (I was Lucy, if you recall).... it's definitely one of my favorites. My Mom and I were going out to lunch and to do some shopping, so I decided to dress up. =)

I paired it with my Torrid belt (pretty sure I got on Clearance) and my new wingtip flats that I got from Marshall's for $24.

I wore earrings and a ring I made myself (Always something similar in my Etsy shop!) along with a brooch I got from this seller on Etsy.

I turned in an application to Torrid.... so *fingers crossed!*

P.S. I'm really loving my new bangs!

My favorite online stores!

I've been asked quite frequently where I shop, so I've decided to compile a list of websites for you all. =)

Eshakti.com (Where I get most of my dresses. You can order them in custom sizes!)

Torrid.com (A wide variety of amazing plus-size clothing!)

LaneBryant.com (They have THE BEST bras & panties... and lots more!)

Modcloth.com (They don't have much of a plus-size selection, but they have tons of cool accessories and shoes!)

Blowfishshoes.com (My favorite brand of shoes!)

Dominodollhouse.com (Lots of funky clothing!)

Etsy.com (I LOVE unique accessories... so I usually get them from Etsy. I also have a shop on Etsy!)

Ebay.com (You can find anything on Ebay....)

6pm.com (Shoes!)

Forever21.com (I was so happy when they added a plus-size line.)

I'll add to the list over time.... these are just a few. =)

Have a fantastic day!

The Peplum Dress I was Afraid To Wear.... Until Now!

Hey there! Long time, no post! So sorry about that. It's been a busy few months, but I hope to get back to posting regularly. =)

Anywho.... on to my outfit!

I picked up this beautiful Peplum Dress from Forever21 quite a few months ago. I loved the shape of it, but it's quite form fitting, so I was too afraid to wear it. I may have much more self-esteem than I did in the past, but I still second guess myself sometimes. Well, today I decided to wear it!

Details:

Peplum dress & leggings - Forever21
Cardigan and belt - Ross
Kitty Cat shoes - Modcloth!

I get so many compliments on these shoes! I love 'em!

Anyway, I'll try and post more often! Hugs and Kisses! <3
