My most favorite dress! The Domino Dollhouse Galaxy dress!!!

When I saw the photo of this dress on the Domino Dollhouse Tumblr, I literally squealed. How gorgeous is it??!! I knew it had to be mine!

I literally stalked the website on the release date and ordered it within 2 minutes of it being posted! Lucky for me, since I heard the site actually froze up for a lot of people and the dress sold out rather quickly.

This dress is so well made and even better in person! It does run a bit big - I ordered a 3X, and I probably could have gone with a 2X. I'm a size 24 US. However, I don't mind, and I always wear a belt to cinch my dresses in, anyway. :)

So here's the outfit I put together. I paired it with some black leggings from Forever21, and my cute studded boots from Kohl's. I went with a denim vest (Old Navy) and my black bow belt from Torrid.

I felt so cute! I got a ton of compliments because the dress is very unique and noticeable.

A few days after receiving the dress, I got these wonderful glitter boots that I knew would look fantastic with it.

The boots are by Call It Spring, and I got them from JC Penney. They were sold out online last time I checked, and I'm unsure if they're going to re-stock them. As much as I love them, they actually broke the first time I wore them. The sole came apart at the heal. Lucky for me, I have tons of E6000 on hand, so I can glue them back together, but it's still pretty irritating!

So, basically, this is my most favorite dress and I am so happy that I got it! I've heard people complaining about the $90 price tag, but I have to say that I think it was worth the price. I usually don't spend much on my clothing (I'm a sucker for sales, coupon codes, and discount stores like Ross, Marshall's, and TJ MaXX!).... so even I gasped at the price, but I am SO glad I treated myself to this lovely dress.

Oh, also.... I got my hair professionally done from a lovely lady recently! (Ignore the fantastic face I'm making in the second photo, haha... this just happened to be the best photo of my hair color!) I'm LOVING it! It's nice to have professionally dyed hair for once. :)

The Domino Dollhouse Bones Dress!

If you're a fan of Domino Dollhouse, an amazing plus size shop that offers unique and totally cool clothing, then you most likely know about this dress:

Yup, the popular "Bones Skater Dress" that sold out super quick. I missed it the first time around, and almost the second time around, as well. By the time I realized it had been restocked, they only had 4X's left, and I needed either a 2 or a 3. I can sew, though, and I knew I could take it in, so I quickly ordered it.

I really, really love this dress! It's a beautiful color and a unique design. I was asked three times if I made it myself, which I take it to mean that plus size ladies know that awesome things like this are not easy to find in our size.

I did have to take it in on top about 2 inches on each side, but it was super easy and quick. Anyway, onto the photos!

I paired it with a black and white striped cardigan and some black tights because it's finally starting to get a little chilly around here (if you consider 65 degrees chilly, haha).

I decided to wear my skeleton hand sweater clips (available in my Etsy shop!) They look super cool with this dress!

I love the full skirt! It's a very comfortable, flattering dress and I am so glad I didn't miss out on it! Thank you, Domino Dollhouse, for offering such neat clothes!

It's been a while - Outfit Mega Post!

It's been a while since I've blogged and I feel really cruddy about it. I always keep my Tumblr up to date, but for some reason, I haven't been posting much here, lately. So, I figured I'd post some of my outfits from the past few weeks all in one blog post! Yay! Here we go!

This was my birthday outfit! I made the skirt out of some super fun "Happy Birthday" fabric. I got that vest at Old Navy on clearance. The necklace was a birthday gift from my boyfriend a few years ago. =)

This is my lovely Betty Le Bonbon circle skirt! It's perfect! I wore it with some saddle shoes I got on Ebay (and my denim vest...haha).

I made this skirt out of some lovely crafty fabric. Again, another denim vest (this time from Ross!) and a pink tee from Wal-Mart.

I wore this outfit to Bark at the Park! Betty and Lucy had a blast! To show my love for Bulldogs, I bought this Bulldog fabric from Spoonflower.com! I also DIY'ed another denim vest (yes, I'm obsessed with them, as you can clearly see, haha) from Ross. I also wore my Bulldog brooch I got on Etsy.

Me, in jeans?! Yup. It's been a while. I got these jeans at Kohl's (Elle brand) for $15! The floral top is from Forever 21.

I made this skirt from some cutesy bird fabric. I loved the colors! (You can buy one in my Etsy!) Black top and the red cardigan are from Ross.

Halloween is my FAVORITE Holiday! I bought this cute Halloween fabric at Joann's. I paired it with a black tee and cardigan, and wore a sweater clip that I made using cute lips cabochons! (You can buy sweater clips in my Etsy, too!)

And finally, another outfit featuring my Bulldog skirt! I wore it with a blue striped tee from Wal-Mart, cardigan from Ross, and a necklace I made using a vintage Virginia Slims keychain. I don't smoke, but something about the quote on the charm grabbed me. I purchased it at our local flea market!

I'll try to keep this blog a little more up to date from now on. =)

Yup.... I'm wearing another skirt that I made =P

I know, I know. I can't stop making them, though! I love being able to choose from a huge variety of fabrics! I have so many more outfit options, now. And knowing I'm wearing something I made.... it makes me feel really proud of myself, as dorky as that sounds.

I made this skirt out of a really cute, polka-dot denim I found. I've worn my store-bought denim skirt so many times that I figured I needed a second one! I love that the polka-dots give it a little something special, so it's not just a plain ol' denim skirt. =]

I love this shirt so much! I couldn't pass it up because the print was just too adorable. (Ignore that I forgot to button one of the buttons... my OCD noticed it right away when I looked at the photos!) I also wore apple earrings, which you can't really see, but they're super cute!

And of course, my favorite red belt! (Darn that button!)

Oh, and I got a hair cut! =)

Out of this world!

You guys.... this fabric is freakin' amazing. When I spotted it in the fabric store I knew it would make a fantastic skirt.... and boy, was I right! Check this baby out!

Isn't it super?! I just love it!

Not the best photo.... but did you notice that I colored my hair? =) I bleached it on my own last week and then dyed it red. It turned out much better than I was expecting!

Kitty Cat Skirt..... #2!

You wouldn't know that I'm a dog person since I can't stop making skirts with cats on 'em!

I found this lovely fabric months ago on the clearance rack at Joann's. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be for Valentine's Day, but whatever. I'll wear it in September if I want!

Ah, how I love sweater clips. =)

Outfit details:

Also, in case I've never mentioned it before, my glasses are from Coastal.com! They have a wonderful selection of glasses, and your first pair is free! =)

Kitty Cat Skirt

So, of course I HAD to make a skirt out of this great cat fabric I found last week. I decided to do a simple skirt instead of a circle skirt - so it only took me about 1 1/2 hours to make! Not bad, right? And it's super comfortable!

To pick up on the pink in the skirt, I paired it with a hot pink belt (and some pink lipstick! - Enchantress by Covergirl).

I wore an earrings & necklace set I made out of some cute brass charms and a brooch I got from a vintage shop in the next town over.

I decided to go simple with the shoes since I had so much going on everywhere else. =)

Outfit details:

Ruffle top, green cardigan, pink belt, and shoes - Ross (I clearly love that store!)

Brooch - Vintage shop in Lancaster, CA

I'm a skirt-making addict!

Ever since my last post about the red & white circle skirt I made, I've been making skirts like crazy! I've found some pretty interested fabrics and have been experimenting with different patterns.

I made another circle skirt out of this amazing "Movie Night" fabric I found on sale at Joann's! I can't wait to wear it on a movie date with Dan. ;-) It has little popcorn buckets, peppermints, and gummy candies printed all over it!

I'm so proud of it! I hemmed it with bias tape (after trying several other unsuccessful ways!) and it looks so professional! =)

I also found this really cute owl fabric and made a simple skirt out of it. These are the only photos I have of it for now.... I promise to model it soon!

Lastly, I have this super cute horse skirt that I decided to list on Etsy!  I loved this horse fabric and thought it would make a darling skirt. How awesome does it look with these boots I got from Rocket Dog?! The awesome horse shirt is from Torrid and the belt is from Ross. =)

I'm pretty certain that I'll be making lots more skirts. I already bought some great Birthday fabric to make a circle skirt out of to wear on my birthday on the 25th! I'm nuts! =)

Red & White - I made a circle skirt!

So, I'm really excited about this outfit because I made the skirt! I actually cut it out months and months ago, but never got around to sewing it until last week, lol. It was really simple. =)

I mixed patterns with this outfit. I planned on wearing it with a simple, white shirt.... but I don't have one! So, I mixed stripes with polka dots and actually loved the way it turned out!

I wore my white crochet (I think?) vest and a red belt. I also wore my Bulldog necklace since I was taking my Bulldogs to Petsmart!

I was very happy with this outfit! I'll definitely be making more of these skirts in tons of different patterns!

Eshakti never disappoints!

Mom and I went out to lunch and did some shopping today, so I decided to wear my latest Eshakti dress. I got this dress from the overstock section, and after using some coupon codes, it came out to about $30! You couldn't even buy the fabric for that price. =)

The skirt is so full on this dress. I love it!

I wore my white peep-toe flats from Blowfish. They are my favorite shoe company.... I'd be embarrassed to mention how many pairs of Blowfish shoes I own! Haha.

I made this sweater clip a while back. I really love wearing sweater clips! Also, the cardigan is from Kohl's, and the red belt is from Torrid.

Here you can see my button ring (also made by me) and my nail art. =)

I tried curling my hair, but it fell flat within 10 minutes. Oh well. Life goes on...

Last, but not least, my favorite hair flower. Also, made by me. I'm pretty crafty, if you couldn't tell.

I felt really good in this outfit. If you're looking for a nice dress, seriously check out Eshakti. I have loved every dress I've ordered from them. New customers get $20 off their order, and they usually have a good sale going on.

Thanks for reading! <3
